The girl's father has refuted reports, stating that his daughter passed away from health complications after being on a ventilator for about a week at a local hospital, according to the DIG who quoted him.

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari also asserted that no rape incident had been reported to the police so far. She mentioned that after an alleged victim was identified on Monday, authorities conducted inquiries at the homes of all girls with that name. All families denied any such incident.

Additionally, ASP Shehrbano Naqvi released a video statement with two men purported to be relatives of the alleged victim, who also denied any occurrence of the incident.

However, Punjab Minister for Higher and School Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, visited the college on Monday, where he met with protesting students and promised justice. "Action will be taken against the principal and the college administration if allegations regarding the deletion of pictures and video evidence are proven," he assured.
