National cricketers are likely to be given central contracts next week.

Work is in progress to finalize the work of the respective departments of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the central contracts of the national cricketers.

Cricket Committee Chairman Misbah-ul-Haq will be briefed on the Central Contract during the next week and then Misbah-ul-Haq will brief Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf regarding the Central Contracts.

Sources say that national players are likely to be offered central contracts next week after the approval of Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf.

Sources say that the central contract is now unlikely to be extended, the contracts that expired on June 30 were extended by one month, the one-month extension period ends on July 31 tomorrow.

CEO PCB Salman Naseer and Director International Usman Wahla discussed the issue of central contract with captains and senior players in Sri Lanka.

According to sources, there is a possibility of a 25-35% increase in the match fee of the players in the central contract, the provisions of the revised NOC policy for the leagues will also be included in the contract.
